A certificate proving that David Torok is the same person as Dezso Torok

This document was issued for marriage, and here the 7th district local board from Budapest certifies that David Torok was identical with the Dezso Torok registered at the police station. My grandfather probably didn't change his first name officially, because he appears as David in his daughters' birth certificate. He used Dezso anyway, everyone called him so and the shoe store was in this name, too. Probably this was the main reason of the name change. The name David was a rare, archaic, specifically biblical name, it wouldn't have looked nice on the trade-sign of an elegant shoe store in Pest.
