Avram and Soultana Pinkas and unknown man

On this picture you can see my grandma’s cousin Avram Pinkas (first from left) and my great grandmother (my mother’s grandma) Soultana. The picture was taken in the beginning of the 20th century at my aunt Buena’s home in Vidin [port city on the right bank of the Danube in Bulgaria, 220 km. away from Sofia].

Buena was married in Romania. She was married in Kalafat and was a housewife. Her husband was Meho Bek. They had two children – Emil and Sason. The whole family lived in Vidin. They used to celebrate all the religious holidays but they did not regularly visit the synagogue. They were deeply religious Ashkenazi. The back of the photo is made like a postcard. There is a stamp of FOTOGLOB – Institut modern fotografic BUCURESTI b-d Academiei’3 and an inscription in Latin letters that says ‘Sason Pinkas Family’.
